Program Description:
Study Abroad is a fee-based option for students to study at UNSW for one or two semesters. On completion of their studies students are able to transfer credits back to their home university. You can enrol through Study Abroad even if your home university is not a partner university with UNSW.

What you can study
You can study almost any course at UNSW as long as you have the  prerequisite knowledge and meet all of the necessary requirements. As a Study Abroad student it is also possible to undertake a supervised internship placement or volunteering opportunity to gain industry experience to support the knowledge gained through your studies.

Students wishing to study at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) need to be aware of some important differences in semester dates, tuition fees, admission requirements and the application process.

Online Handbook
The UNSW Online Handbook is an up-to-date reference of all courses currently offered by UNSW. Course listings provide a short description of the course content, and information about prerequisites and the weighting (units of credit) of each course.

Not all courses are offered in both Semester 1 and Semester 2 each year so it is advisable to also check the UNSW Online Timetable. Each year, the timetable for Semester 1 is posted from mid-November the previous year, and the timetable for Semester 2 is posted in late April.

Who can apply?
To apply for the Semester Program, you need to be studying at a recognised tertiary institution and have already completed at least two years of your tertiary education. The minimum GPA requirement for entry is 3.0/4.0 or the equivalent.
